It is easy to taken up by the busyness of serving God. There
are many worthwhile activities and events to attend to and give attention to.
It is not that I do not want to hear from God; it is that I am so busy doing
God’s work. I can be so taken up by my activity and convictions that God can
speak but I do not hear. The attitude of
every follower of Jesus should be the one of Samuel, “Speak, for your servant
hears.” God is always speaking; are we always listening? – Ron Friesen
