Does it seem sometimes that God is hidden to you? It seems
that there is no access to the presence of God. The heavens appear brazen and
impenetrable. Our words bounce off the ceiling. The maturing disciple
understands that these are moments not for anger or sulking but for resting and
listening. God has already spoken many words to us. Some we have heard; many we
have ignored. It is a matter of quieting our souls so they are at peace; we are
able to be “still and know”. Rest today in the knowledge that the greatest
