Do you sometimes
wonder, “Where is God?” You are not alone. From the beginning of the human race
people have been asking this. The prophet, Isaiah, made this observation:
“…you are a God
who has been hiding himself….” Isaiah 45:15
Of course,
sometimes we don’t see God because God does not show up in the ways we think
God should show up. In the context of these words, God shows up in the form of
a pagan ruler who God uses to restore the fortunes of his people. What God uses
evil men to do good? Today, as you go about your life, don’t be surprised if
God comes out of hiding in the most unexpected places and ways. – Ron Friesen
