Patched-lives or new lives?

Patched-up lives or new lives
Many people come to God looking for God to patch up some parts of their lives. Perhaps their careers have been stained by some bad habit or their relationships have soured due to some poor social skills or ill-advised choices. These seekers after God are not really interested in really a wholesale transformation; they are more interested in a cosmetic overall. God is not interested in putting a patch on the worn-cloth of our behaviors; God is only interested in a radical transformation of lives from the inside out. God will allow the circumstances of our lives continue to work themselves out until we come to the place of humility and resignation, falling on our knees we turn our wills over to God. – Ron Friesen

  1. You quote a phrase from Oswald Chambers - My Utmost for His Highest; amateur providence. "Are we must learn to keep our mouths shut and our spirits alert".

  2. Ethel, Thank you for reading my blog. As I am re-reading this post, I am not seeing the quote from Oswald Chambers you are referring to.
