Do you care about your reputation? You really shouldn’t worry
about it for a minute. Why? Because God who didn’t care about his reputation
doesn’t care about it! The Christmas story is the story about a holy, good God
who lays aside any idea of reputation to take on human form. The King of glory
made himself nothing, taking on the form of a servant. Maybe you are thinking,
“Well, my reputation is pretty well-shot. I can’t get much lower.”
Congratulations! You are the most worthy of candidates for a God-infused life.
God loves to take on the most despised of humanity and live out his glory
through them. The Good News of Christmas is that God gives up his reputation
