One of the wonderful benefits of
following God is that we experience wonderful moments of God’s presence in our
lives. One temptation is to bask in these moments and to spend our lives
looking for repeat performances while God is moving on inviting us to deeper
and more enriching experiences. Many times as we will become impatient, even
impetuous, with God; our hearts become cold and indifferent. God keeps bringing
new revelation to us, inviting us to a deeper, richer walk. We have a choice:
follow God into the new truth or go back and become a deserter. – Ron Friesen
