Do not confuse the temptations of the world, the flesh and
the Devil with the testing of God. Remember, God tempts no one. When we
experience the testing of God, we realize that the events around us are meant
to build character and to bring us to a greater maturity. Many followers of
Jesus want to be mature, yet they argue against the very circumstances that
bring about this maturity. When your circumstances test you today, join St.
James in counting them as joy because when they have completed their work you
will be a much more mature person at the end of the day (James 1:2-4) – Ron
