What do you do on the first day of your life without the physical presence of your spiritual leader? Run? Scatter? Cry? Hide in your bedroom?
The followers of Jesus may have been tempted to do all of the above, however, they spent a lot of time praying and waiting on God. In fact, they spent 4 months locked up in a room waiting on God. When God showed up, all heaven broke lose.
One of the followers of Jesus who had only months earlier denied Jesus stands up in front the gathering crowd to explain the events of the day. When the Living Presence shows up an ordinary fisherman whose impulsivity regularly gets him in trouble turns into an orator that leads to several thousand people to realize the truth and significance of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus.
Every day the Living Presence turns ordinary, fear-filled, anxious, doubting men and women into unexpected witnesses. In fact, the Living Presence specializes in using those who think they have little to offer to God.
If you are thinking you are the least-likely to be useful to God, you are in the correct position to be visited by the Living Presence.
