Did you know Jesus gave you and me “the first command of
seeking”? We are all seeking something: recognition, security, love, or
acceptance. Jesus said to us, “Seek first the reign of God.” What does the
reign of God have to do with the normal human desires we all have? Jesus says
that in seeking God’s reign, many things will be taken care of or given to us.
Why is this? Because God is the owner of all and to come under the umbrella of
his reign is become a co-owner or co-possessor of all God has. What do you need
