The goodness of God in character or action is no leverage
against the human will determined to go its own way. It is a mystery why anyone
would choose against divine wisdom, yet this is the story of the human race. We
cannot save ourselves from ourselves. We charge headlong into our own
destruction. The attractiveness of the goodness of God seems to be overwhelmed by
our desire to express our freedom. When we realize that our wisdom is folly in
face of Divine Wisdom, we will realize the hope for our rebellion. – Ron Friesen
