It is a new year. Has anything really changed except to
demarcate that the earth has marked its annual spin on its axis? Most of us
woke up in the same bed today that we were in 4 days ago. Most of us will drive
in the same care on the same route to the same job we had 4 days ago. We are still
living with the same struggles we had 4 days ago. Since this is the case,
many of us need this word of encouragement written over 3,000 years ago,
Surely God is my help; the Lord is the one who sustains
me. – Psalm 54:4
In a world of sameness, there is One whose unchanging
concern will be our constant comfort. God is your strong arm today whatever you
are struggling with. God will walk with you through 2014. Lean hard on God. –
