Oh, to hear the voice of God! There are some who cry out
this plea: God speak to me! Be careful for what you ask. Here are a few words
from the Psaltery about the power of God’s words:
The voice of the Lord is over the waters;
the God of glory thunders,
the Lord thunders over the mighty waters.
The voice of the Lord is powerful;
the voice of the Lord is majestic. – Psalm 29:3-4
How powerful is the voice of the Lord? According the rest of
this psalm it is so powerful that it tears trees into toothpicks. There is a
common perception that God speaks only in a still small voice; God shouts more
often than he whispers. Yes, listen for God’s voice today. Do not be surprised
that it will be a boom that rocks you out of the chair of your comfort. – Ron
