God, help me!

When we face challenges and difficulties such as the people of Isaiah did when they were taken off into captivity, we need hope. Here is the hope Isaiah gave to his friends and neighbors:

“Lord, be gracious to us;
we long for you.

Be our strength every morning,
our salvation in time of distress.” (Isaiah 33:2)

I do not know what trial or tribulation you are going through today. I do not know what tests or challenges you will face tomorrow, but this is I know: the God who is with you today will be with you tomorrow. If you want a simple version of Isaiah’s prayer, it is this, “God, help me!” God is always ready to hear our prayer. – Ron Friesen
