“Your wound is as deep as the sea.
Who can heal you?” Lamentations 2:13
The writer of the biblical Book of Lamentations captures the
depth of human pain in these few words. It is always important to acknowledge
the depth of human pain. Too many times we minimize our pain or the pain of others. With this acknowledgement must come another recognition: the deep pain
will be difficult to heal. Time is not a healer; it is simply the movement of
the universe. Notice the writer asks: “Who can you heal you?” Pain is personal;
healing comes through a Person. – Ron Friesen
