The call of God....

We are often distracted by the call of God because we first focus on the nature of the call or the message inside of the call. We might say, “I am called to serve the poor.” Or, “I am called to the business world.” Or, “I am called to be a loving mother.” All of these are worthy calls, however, if the call is our focus we will soon run out of motivation. There are days when we are overwhelmed by the duties of our call. Followers of Jesus soon realize that it is not the call that moves them to action; it is the One who calls who fills them with energy to fulfill the call. The very call we are answering is based on the nature of the One who calls. When you become weary today; remember Who called you. – Ron Friesen
