Many years ago a man told me of a vision he had when he was very ill. In the vision he was walking toward the heavenly city. He could see it plainly as he walked toward it. As he came closer to the large gates he was confronted by a long line of people who were holding hands. He tried and tried to get through the line but the people would not let him through. Puzzled, he looked up and asked God, "Who are all these people who are keeping me from coming to you?" God said, "These are the people who are praying for you." He looked at me and told me, "Be very careful when you pray for sick people because instead of helping them you may be keeping them from going to be with God who they want to be with."
